My Ethos

To provide the highest standard of care and do my best to help patients achieve their goals. The aim will always be to get you to the point where you no longer require acupuncture treatment.

I run a varied practice, working with a variety of conditions and focus on aiding patients who wish to focus on restoring their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing so that they can more effectively live life in a way that serves their individual needs. Working with me is a partnership which aims to give you the tools to more effectively manage your own wellbeing rather than becoming reliant on a treatment.

In addition to being an acupuncturist I am also a qualified teacher, often issues affecting our health can begin at a young age and given my background I am passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential. Therefore, I have a specific interest in supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Dyslexia and attachment disorders. If your child has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) it can provide useful information to inform treatment.

My background

I first became acquainted with acupuncture theory at a young age, when my mother began her training with the late J.R. Worsley. I was captivated by tales of Taoist masters and the way in which the Chinese understood and viewed the world. I realised acupuncture was more than just a modality to heal yourself from illness, it was a way of life. For me it is a journey of self-discovery, an investigation into the world and a means to keep me on track with my path in life.

Before I began my acupuncture studies, I worked with children of all ages in a variety of different settings and found the work to be not only rewarding, but truly inspiring. A child's view of the world is much like that of a Taoist master or Buddha and being surrounded by that energy has helped me to continue to cultivate it within myself. A key part of my practice is to bring the experiences and knowledge gained from my previous career and apply them to my work as an acupuncturist.

I am fully committed to the practice of acupuncture and continuously work to develop myself professionally, so as to be able to provide the best possible care for my patients.

Training and professional membership

I have a BA (Hons) Degree and Licentiate in Traditional Acupuncture from The College of Traditional Acupuncture, Hatton, Warwickshire. I am fully insured and adhere to a strict code of ethics.

I regularly attend postgraduate courses to further develop myself as a practitioner and to deepen my understanding of this living tradition. My practice stays rooted in classical Five Element theory and I maintain a deep fascination with the roots of my art.
